About the canoe

The etched design on this canoe is based on a mid-1800s Penobscot canoe in the collection of the
Penobscot Nation Museum, which is one of only a handful of old Wabanaki canoes still in existence that are built using wooden pegs, not nails or screws. Inside beam 28”, depth 12 3/4”
